Appliance Repair Training
About
Marquise Adams is a Baltimore native who received his electrical education training thru Mergenthaler Vocational Technical High School. He then attended TESST College Institution for computer, electronic, and telecommunications training. Marquise received appliance training from his 17+ years of experience through different appliance repair companies. He discovered a love for the skill and wanted to continue to build his skill and educate others in the appliance repair field who wished to have a successful career in the area. Ultimately, his goal is to pour into the students at ART, advancing other genuinely skilled appliance repair technicians who have the same passion for continuous growth and knowledge in our service industry.
Richard Davis was born in Kingston, Jamaica, on January 6, 1984, to loving parents Leroy Davis and Joan Lindo. Richard left Jamaica for Baltimore, Md, in 1992 at the age of eight, and his mom decided to send him to be raised with his dad's side of the family.
You could tell from an early age he was destined for greatness!!! Full of energy, life, and not liking being told what to do. At some point, Richard was going to create his opportunities, not only for himself but also for others.
Richard is the owner of Richard's Appliance Repair. He started his own business at the age of 27 after being terminated from Sears. During this period, he spent time developing and strategizing the plan to go into business for himself (talk about man closing a door and God opening a large window!!!). Now, Richard's company can be seen servicing and repairing appliances throughout the Baltimore metropolitan area.
Richard is now turning his attention to helping others. To start, he's created the ARTU, aka Appliance Repair Training University, which teaches individuals the trade of appliance repair and how to create their own business. He also helps at his local church, helping mentor the youth and inspire them to be all God would have them.
Shawn Smith is the owner of Mid-Eastern Appliance Services. He has been in the appliance repair business for 18 years. He started his career as a repair tech working for Sears for 9 years. After some years while working for Sears he then decided to branch off and start his own business. He acquired an Associates degree in electronics and a certification in Electronics from TESST college.
Waldo Dorneval's journey as an appliance repair technician started about 15 years ago after completing a 15 months automotive program at Lincoln Technical Institute in Columbia Maryland. He began working at Sears as lawn and garden technician before transferring into appliance repair before long. Waldo worked there for over 10 years before starting my own business.
